  1. How Google Gears Will Change Your Life

    6/1/2007

The announcement of Google’s latest development, Google Gears, was met with a lot of excitement over the last few days — understandably so. The ability of web applications to work even when off-line is a huge step forward for web software, and even if there aren’t a lot of apps that can take advantage of this yet, the beta release of Gears signals big changes in coming months.

Think all of the UGC (user-generated content) approaches touted with Web 2.0 don’t relate to your business-to-business marketing efforts?

Johnny Chan and Danielle Baldwin from eBoost Marketing (I know them!) will show you how to take a conversational marketing approach in B2B to yield real bottom-line results. To implement some Web 2.0 marketing tactics of your own, Johnny and Danielle will talk you through:

  6. Hi, my name is Kyle Neath, and I’m a spammer

    5/31/2007

… At least, Campaign Monitor tells me I am. This is a story about a legitimate webmaster trying to use the power of newsletters to promote his site. And how Campaign Monitor deceived, then insulted him and lost a customer.

    How the list began

A long time ago, I started an email list for Poetry with meaning. I heard about the glories of Campaign Monitor, and naturally signed right up. I created the form explaining exactly what it was for and even used Campaign Monitor’s own signup form to add people to the list.

Is this a smoke and mirrors demo? Or something that’ll get delivered this year? I met these two guys at the Charles River Ventures partner meeting. They’ve been funded to build this system.

This is the first public demo of the system they call Mobeus (they say the name will change by the time they ship).

  8. Microsoft releases new Windows Live Writer

Microsoft just released a new version of its Windows Live Writer — an offline blog editing tool. I’ve been using it all morning and it’s pretty damn nice.

Unfortunately I’m at Google where they’ll be launching news of their own in about an hour. See ya then!

    5/30/2007

TMZ.com: Marilyn Manson says he’s seen Lindsay Lohan naked — but didn’t get a glimpse of her now infamous undercarriage. In a video over on AOL’s Popeater blog, the goth rocker broke into a bizarre rant about LiLo’s “firecrotch,” saying, “How much would it… Read more

I damn-near burst a kidney laughing after reading “Men Rules: Guide for Women.” Bud Light needs to do a “Real Men of Genius” song on the guy who wrote it.
