Hi. I hit the big 3-0 this year and still single. No time/not my thing to go to bars/ clubs. When I did go, I had bad luck. So then I tried online dating on a few websites. (Thought I’d get a better response.) I have an 8 rating on hotornot.com (and that’s not even a good picture) and am a paying member. Clicked “yes” to women that I’d like to meet (between ratings 7 and 9). I get no responses (Am I a hot troll? WTF?) or they click “yes” in return but don’t email me. (Hello?! That’s why I clicked yes to you in the first place!) I guess they don’t even want to be friends at least? Anyways, happy holidays to all and hope that you, at least, have found that special someone to love and be loved by, because I haven’t…

I don’t recognize any of those, but I’m pretty sure they are all spam. Anything with a link in it to some weird dating site or to any site you don’t recognize is most likely going to be spam!

Was cleaning out my email today. Out of curiosity, I thought I’d post some of the email addresses I got from my online dating responses to see if anybody could tell me if any of these are legitimate… (name in quotation marks is the name that the emails were from, name in parentheses is their user name on another website). Also–pardon my ignorance–what are the signs to look for in the email to know that it is a scam or if it is legit?

Fuck online dating (or maybe the problem is just with the girls here where I live–San Diego?). I’ve have at least 3 online dating accounts open and very little responses (read: scams) or none. No I don’t want to see you on your goddam webcam or go to a fuckin website, sign up, see your pics/profile when you could just email me. I had at least 6 accounts at the most. I have a chemistry.com account and not a single response. I’m glad I only paid for the 1 month membership. My opinion of women is getting lower and lower. (Or maybe I’m wrong and I’m just talking to bitches?) Well that’s my rant for the day. Thank you and good night…
