My ’59 Galaxie 500 Featured on Just a Car Guy!

So over the past month or so I have been corresponding with Jesse who writes the Just a Car Guy blog. I came across his site a long time ago, and have had it in (i)Google Reader ever since. Hes a San Diego resident too, and always hits up the local car shows and posts awesome high res pictures on his blog. Well, I emailed him a while back telling him that I loved his site and that I featured him in a post of my top 20 blogs that I read. We have been in touch ever since, and Sunday he stopped by to take some pics of my 1959 Ford Fairlane Galaxie 500.dsc06112.jpg This led to about an hour of bullshitting about every car we have ever owned, wrenched on, or dreamed about. He’s got a pretty slick ride himself…I can’t remember the year, I think was a ’69 R/T with a monster racing engine that runs on airplane fuel! He was telling me about going up to miramar to get gas for his car, and after giving the station manager a ride in that beast he has had a solid hook up ever since! Jesse knows cars inside and out, and I learned a lot just talking to him this weekend. If you have the slightest bit of motorhead in you, don’t waste any time getting over to Just A Car Guy to drool for a while. Below are links to two of his posts on some of my toys:

This is my blog. I started it back in 2006 when I was finishing my undergrad at SDSU, kept going as I started my career and completed my MBA, and what do you know I'm still updating over 10 years later... It contains a little bit of everything about me - I'm an opinionated asshole sometimes, definitely a nerd, a gamer, a husband, a manager for a consulting company, a DJ and a musician, a grease monkey and a motorcycle rider...and a whole bunch of other things that probably are too offensive to mention. This blog has a lot of stuff I find funny, a little I find serious, and tons of information about my various and plentiful hobbies. I hope you find something here that's interesting to you. I'd love to hear from you, so feel free to comment or contact me! Thanks for stopping by!
